Kara Hirschfeld is the director of marketing at Philanthropy Roundtable. Prior to joining the Roundtable, Kara served as the deputy director of Asian American and Pacific Islander media affairs for the Republican National Committee. Kara has over a decade of experience managing communications and digital marketing efforts for political campaigns, nonprofits and small businesses.
Kara is a former Army Reservist who deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She also served as a commissioner on the Arizona Veterans’ Service Advisory Commission which provided policy advice to the governor.
Originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, Kara attended the University of Arizona and earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in law. She is currently pursuing a master of arts in advertising and public relations with a concentration in marketing communication management at the University of Alabama.
Kara is active in the community and enjoys volunteering. She volunteers for Catch a Lift Fund, a nonprofit which provides post 9/11 combat wounded veterans fitness grants to heal mentally and physically. Kara is also an advisor for the University of Virginia, Alpha Chi Omega chapter and serves as an ambassador for the national foundation. She is active in her daughters’ schools and has served as PTO president and Girl Scout troop leader.
