WASHINGTON – February 12, 2025 – Philanthropy Roundtable announced that nominations are open for its annual Simon-DeVos Prize for Philanthropic Leadership. Each year, the Prize honors a living philanthropist who has shown exemplary leadership through charitable giving with a $200,000 award payable to the winner’s charitable organization of choice.
The Prize, awarded in partnership with the DeVos Family Foundation and William E. Simon Foundation, highlights the values proven to strengthen communities and improve individual lives: personal responsibility, resourcefulness, volunteerism, scholarship, individual freedom, faith in God and helping people help themselves.
“The Roundtable is excited to open nominations for the annual Simon-DeVos Prize, which recognizes exceptional philanthropic leaders who are driving innovative solutions, empowering people to transform their lives and advancing our free society,” said Christie Herrera, president and CEO of Philanthropy Roundtable. “We are so grateful to the DeVos and Simon families for their generous support of the Prize over the years, which inspires even more generosity and support for organizations that share these values and achieve results.”
Past winners include entrepreneurs and philanthropists Pete and Jeff Coors, Laura and Jeff Sandefer, Ken Griffin, Paul Singer and Bernie Marcus, among others.
Nominations for the Simon-DeVos Prize can be submitted here until February 28, 2025. A selection committee will review the nominations, and the Prize will be presented at the Roundtable’s Annual Meeting in October before a large audience of donors.
