Civics Playbook

What is the Civics Playbook?

The organizations featured in this playbook reflect the Roundtable’s core values of liberty, opportunity and personal responsibility and bring those values to bear in the crucial area of civics education.

A well-informed citizenry is crucial for the maintenance of democracy and the honoring of America’s founding principles. Civics education helps ensure that citizens understand their rights and responsibilities, promoting a healthy democratic process. By investing in curriculum and teaching materials, teachers and experimental learning, philanthropists can transform broad-based civic engagement that emphasizes traditional American values.

Designed as a living resource, the playbook will be refreshed on a routine basis, providing philanthropists with timely and innovative ideas for investment and partnership. Organizations are selected after close examination of mission alignment, outcomes, fiscal health and potential for replicability.

The Philanthropy Roundtable Civics Playbook is supported by the Daniels Fund.
