Nominations Open for 2022 Simon-DeVos Prize

Prize honors outstanding philanthropist with $200,000 for charity of winner’s choice

WASHINGTON – Philanthropy Roundtable announced that nominations are open for its annual Simon-DeVos Prize, which recognizes philanthropic excellence and aims to inspire more Americans to sustain our nation’s rich tradition of charitable giving

The Simon-DeVos Prize highlights the values proven to strengthen communities and improve individual lives. Specifically, the Prize seeks to advance the principles of personal responsibility, resourcefulness, volunteerism, scholarship, individual freedom, faith in God and helping people to help themselves. Each year, the Prize honors a living philanthropist who has shown exemplary leadership through his or her own charitable giving by presenting $200,000 to the winner’s charitable organization of choice.

“The Roundtable is excited to receive nominations for the Simon-DeVos Prize, as it gives us a front row seat to the amazing philanthropic work being done around the country to meet challenges with creativity,” said Elise Westhoff, president and CEO of Philanthropy Roundtable. “We appreciate the generosity and commitment of the Simon and DeVos families to allow us to celebrate philanthropic leadership and inspire further generosity to support organizations that achieve results.”

Nominations for the Simon-DeVos Prize are welcome through Friday, April 15, 2022, and can be submitted here. A selection committee will review the nominations, and the Prize will be presented at the Roundtable’s Annual Meeting in October before a large audience of donors.
